SOHIL + CAS / GOOD NOT GREAT
A CREATIVE PARTNERSHIP
BUILT TO MAKE THINGS.
Good Not Great is a DFW creative and media studio founded by Sohil Sikdar and Cas Cruz. We work across production, design, technology, and experimentation—shaping the idea and figuring out how to make it real.
THE PEOPLE
SOHIL
+ CAS.
GNG is the working partnership between Sohil Sikdar and Cas Cruz. Our approach combines technical and tactical thinking with experimental creative work across media, design, and technology.
Sometimes that means developing the concept. Sometimes it means running the production, building the system, solving the technical problem, or handling all of it together.
We care about how the work feels, but also how it functions once it leaves the presentation deck.
THE NAME
GOOD.
NOT GREAT.
The name came from our first date. We found a burger place whose leading review described the burgers as “good, not great.” We went anyway.
The phrase stuck around. Eventually, it became the name of the studio—not because we aim low, but because we’d rather earn “great” than print it on the sign.
NO GREATNESS GUARANTEED
DO THE WORK.
MAKE IT BETTER.
We do not want to promise perfection, transformation, disruption, or greatness before the work starts.
We would rather be clear about what we know, solve the problem well, and experiment when experimentation is useful. The goal is good ideas, capable execution, and work people actually care about.
“Good Not Great” is partly a joke and partly a reminder: stay curious, avoid the grand claims, and keep improving the thing in front of you.
Technical enough to wire it.
Creative enough to make it matter.
GNG connects creative direction with hands-on production. The same partnership thinking through the idea also understands how it will be filmed, designed, built, edited, streamed, and used.
Let’s make
something good.
